Fri, 09 Apr 2010

We all know that sitting around playing computer games does not help your weight .

In fact, earlier on this week the World Health Organisation stated that video games are a significant factor related to the increase in childhood obesity .

We also know that excessive game playing can lead to violence.

A recent study has added poor dental health to the list of things computer games can cause.

A new University of Iowa study has linked playing games frequently to poor oral health .

It would appear that the dietary habits of heavy gamers can lead to accelerated tooth decay.

Even excessive viewing of the TV has been held responsible for poor dental health.

In addition, the study discovered that children whose gaming time is more restricted by parents are not as likely to suffer dental health problems, due to the provision of regular meals.
