Listerine Total Care Sensitive mouthwash has been named the top oral health care product in this years Product of the Year awards.
More than 10,000 consumers voted for their must have' products in this years Product of the Year survey, which was conducted by market researchers TNS.
Products were split into 35 categories, with Listerine Sensitive receiving the most votes in the oral care' category.
Commenting on the award, Emma Howe, oral care brand manager at Johnson and Johnson, said the company was "delighted" that Listerine Sensitive had been voted as one of the top products of 2010.
"We are pleased also that consumers recognise that Listerine Total Care Sensitive provides total protection for sensitive teeth," she commented.
"It is clinically proven to target the multiple causes of sensitivity by: protecting nerve endings against that sharp sudden sensitive feeling; strengthening and protecting tooth enamel, even between the teeth ; killing up to 99 per cent of oral bacteria, which can cause gums to recede and expose sensitive areas; keeping gums healthier as it cleans hard to reach places that brushing may miss; and reducing plaque formation by up to 56 per cent more than brushing alone."
The Product of the Year awards is the UK's largest, independent and most representative consumer vote into product innovation. This years awards ceremony took place at Royal Opera House in Londons Covent Garden.
