Pangbourne Gets New NHS Dental Practice

Mon, 20 Dec 2010

A new NHS dental practice has opened its doors to patients in Pangbourne, Berkshire.

Dental Care Limited, which is located Reading Road, is now taking on new patients in the West Berkshire area.

The new practice has been commissioned by NHS Berkshire West as part of plans to improve access to local NHS dental services .

Two more dental surgeries - one in Finchampstead and one in Earley – are scheduled to open early next year, which will take the number of NHS dentists operating across Reading, Wokingham and West Berkshire to 56.

Hugh O’Keeffe, Dental Commissioning Manager at NHS Berkshire West, said: "While it is a myth that there are no NHS dentists locally, there was still a need to improve access in certain areas, so the PCT has commissioned the new practices to achieve this as well as to provide high quality NHS dental care to local people."

Patients who are interested in registering with Dental Care Limited are advised to contact the surgery directly or visit the NHS West Berkshire website.
