West Lancashire Practice Offering NHS Dental Places

Thu, 16 Dec 2010

People seeking access to NHS dental services in Lancashire are being invited to sign up with Ravat and Ray Dental Care .

The dental practice, which is based at Ormskirk Hospital, is now accepting direct applications from patients across west and central Lancashire.

The surgery opened late last year as part of a new £3m development to provide better all-round care for patients at the hospital.

"Despite what people think, it is no longer difficult to get an NHS dentist in Ormskirk and Chorley," said Peter Drury, practice manager at Ravat and Ray.

"Not only that but we offer a service above and beyond what most people expect with an evening emergency service seven days and week and weekend appointments."

"New patients can still phone the primary care trust dental access database phoneline or they can contact us directly."

"We are also accepting patients from anywhere in central Lancashire, which may be handy if you work in one of these areas or don’t mind a short journey to see an NHS dentist ."

West Lancashire MP Rosie Cooper said: "I would strongly encourage everyone without a dentist or who is paying for private dental services to sign up to this service."
