A millionaire dentist who featured in the TV series, The Secret Millionaire, has set up a charity to help underprivileged children in east London .
Dentist and entrepreneur Seema Sharma took part in a special Indian Winter edition of the Channel 4 series which showed her living undercover in one of Indias largest slums in Mumbai, the countrys financial capital.
The episode showed Seema volunteering with a number of aid organisations and meeting some of the inspirational people who provide support for India's poorest civilians.
At the end of her life changing stay, she surprised those who she had worked closely with by revealing her true identity, and providing them with much-needed funding for their projects.
After returning to the UK, she established a new charity The Sharma Foundation to help underprivileged communities in east London .
She also hopes the charity will provide on-going funding to the three Mumbai-based projects she chose to help at the end of her Slumdog Secret Millionaire experience.
The Sharma Foundation is now organising fundraising events across the UK. A charity dinner is scheduled to take place on 30 June in London and is being supported by Henry Schein Minerva, one of the worlds largest suppliers of dental and healthcare products.
